While there is so much to do in and around McCall and Payette Lake, one need not go far for another entire world of outdoor activities to unfold. The photos above are hiking to Josephine Lake, less than an hour's drive and only about a 1 mile hike to the lake.

Right in town, the hike in Ponderosa State Park to Osprey Point is a 'must do.'

Golf courses include Jug Mountain Ranch, Whitetail Club, Tamarack Resort's 18 hole Robert Trent Jones II course, and McCall's Municipal Robert Muir Graves 27 hole course.

Summer activity on the lake includes sailing, waterskiing, and personalwatercraft with rentals and boat slips available for weekly rent at the Mile High Marina. The lake temperature is comfortable in summer, and Payette Lake is a clear, clean and gorgeous, natural lake.
